La s\u00e9rie HIGH NOON du photographe Julian Kirschler montre des lieux d\u00e9serts qu'il a photographi\u00e9s dans diff\u00e9rentes villes europ\u00e9ennes apr\u00e8s l'adoption de mesures restrictives pour endiguer la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19. Craignant une croissance exponentielle du nombre de cas, les gouvernements du monde entier avaient impos\u00e9 des restrictions de sortie parfois rigoureuses afin d'endiguer la propagation du virus. Accompagn\u00e9es d'un \u00e9cho m\u00e9diatique sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, les informations sur les caravanes de cadavres et les villes fantomatiques se sont multipli\u00e9es. Des sc\u00e9narios inqui\u00e9tants, qui rappellent des films hollywoodiens comme Twelve Monkeys ou Outbreak, dominent depuis lors les discours m\u00e9diatiques.<\/p>

Pendant le shutdown, d'innombrables photographies fantomatiques de rues vides et de places d\u00e9sertes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 prises dans le monde entier. Contrairement aux clich\u00e9s de ces \"villes fant\u00f4mes\", les images de la s\u00e9rie High Noon d\u00e9clenchent toutefois le sentiment oppressant de l'\u00e9trange. Kirschler a infect\u00e9 le \"graphisme\" haute r\u00e9solution de ses s\u00e9quences d'images avec un virus num\u00e9rique qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re des espaces visuels fantastiques, tels que nous les connaissons dans les mondes artificiels des jeux vid\u00e9o. De nombreux fichiers bruts trait\u00e9s donnent l'impression d'avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 programm\u00e9s avec un moteur de jeu. La duplication, la superposition et le d\u00e9placement du plan de prise de vue, mais surtout la projection centrale et l'\u00e9clairage high-key, cr\u00e9ent des effets tels qu'ils sont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s dans l'infographie 3D des jeux de tir \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re personne au moyen du modelage, du texturing, du shading et du reflectionmapping. Toutes les images de la s\u00e9rie disposent en outre, lorsqu'on les regarde \u00e0 l'\u00e9cran, d'une fonction zoom-in\/out qui sugg\u00e8re que nous pouvons nous immerger dans les images.<\/p><\/div>
